“Walk for Life” is an initiative of The Glencoe Foundation for the clubfoot infants of Bangladesh. It is the National Clubfoot Program of Bangladesh, which provides treatment to children under the age of three by the Ponseti Method; a technique considered a gold standard of treating club feet children in developed countries.

Since 2009, Walk for Life has set up a network of 34 clubfoot clinics (including medical college hospitals, district hospitals and non Govt. hospitals) in 33 districts mostly in government hospitals all over Bangladesh.

On 20th June 2010, Walk for Life has been started in Sylhet division at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. After that the Glencoe Foundation established “Walk for Life” clinic at 250 Bedded Hospital, Moulvibazar on 26th July 2010 and at Adhunik Sadar Hospital, Hobiganj on 21st December 2011.

Besides providing treatment, we have focused in supporting various important Government Medical facilities by providing appropriate training with international trainers and by providing materials and work force for running our clinics.

Since 2009 there are over 28000 feet under correction covering over 19000 children.
As at 1st of March 2017, around 1345 children born with clubfoot deformity have enrolled in three Walk for Life clinics at Sylhet division.
